Dan's Funeral

Dan's Funeral was like nothing I've ever seen before. I have never seen so many people at a viewing, and the funeral had the chapel, the overflow, and they gym completely overflowing with people. He had friends flying in from all over. His former mission president now one of the 70 came and said a few words. Not to mention the mass of the Egbert's. It was crazy. And it was terribly sad! His wife Angie is so incredibly sad! And my sister Linda was practically wailing and felt so so sad, I feel so bad for her. I've never seen someone in so much pain! Dan has 3 yonger brothers, Greg who is married and now expecting a baby, Kevin and Jay are like 12 and 13 or so, they all look up to Dan and just adored him completely. Dan and his dad Don were the best of friends. Don not only lost his oldest son, but he lost his best friend. It makes you wonder what the point of all this suffering is for exactly. Of course we'll see and be with him again, but besides all that, and in the meantime, my sister and her husband, and Dan's wife are dying of sadness. We all love Dan so much and the Birch Family. Our hearts are broken! My nephew, Dan is my oldest sister Linda's first boy. He had 1 older sister, and 3 younger brothers, married to Angie and had 2 little girls. He died in an auto accident head on with a semi this Sunday night in Idaho. He was always so charismatic, funny and happy and "cool". Everyone loved Dan. We will miss him so much. We are so sorry!! Our hearts go out to his wife and little girls, and to Don and Linda his parents, and his siblings. You are such a great family! We love you and support you!
