- I am a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor. For those of you unfamiliar with this field, I am an MD. I have found traditional medicine has it's limitations. The aim of this blog is to explore some treatments that may be considered "outside the box" from a personal and MD perspective. I am 40, and I love to moutnain bike, trail run, and backcountry ski. My wife and 4 boys also like to bike and ski, keeping us all busy. I do not plan on slowing down anytime soon...life's short.

And can I say how many times a week I think in my head "Oh, I'm so grateful that Ash has a friend like Ev!"?!?! The other day, she was kind of sad as I dropped her off at school. Ev came right up to her and put a smile back on her face. For my kids to have such caring friends is truly a blessing. There's your happy thought for the day...
